Lincoln University students who have just won first place in the 2020 International Food Marketing Challenge, run by The Food Distribution Research Society, Inc.
Teams from around the world competed in the virtual competition, with our winning group developing a strategy and implementation plan for a Florida-based fruit and vegetable distributor that had been affected by Covid-19 lockdowns.
The team (which included Lincoln Roper, Grace Moscrip, Emma Ritchie and Grace Mainwaring) made the bold recommendation to divest from food service channels and implement a digital information system to build better supply.
They were coached by Lincoln alum Emma Boase, who has a Bachelor of Agribusiness and Food Marketing and now works for Horticulture NZ and New Zealand Apples & Pears
